QUIN

£100.00

The 50’s was the era of the cat-eye. From Audrey Hepburn to Marilyn Monroe, we’re all aware how Hollywood’s sweethearts popularised the upswept flaired frame like never before. But before the cat, was the Harlequin. Designed in the 1930s by Altina Schinasi, Harlequin was her alternative to boring eyewear. If “men seldom (made) passes at girls who (wore) glasses”, they were about to now. Quin, a chunky and subtly curved cat-eye, pays homage to this turning point in the definition of glamour. Available in Chocolate Brown and a beautiful pastel Solid Sand. 100% UV Protection. Includes protective case and microfibre cloth.
